About Us
At All4hoovesWA Equine Rescue Sanctuary Inc., our team is made up of passionate, dedicated individuals who share a deep commitment to animal welfare, compassion, and community service. We are a hands-on, grassroots organisation driven by people who genuinely care about giving horses and ponies a second chance at life.
Our organisation is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, who provide governance, oversight, and strategic direction to ensure we operate ethically, transparently, and in line with our charitable purpose. Each board member brings valuable skills, experience, and a shared belief that all animals deserve dignity, respect, and lifelong care.
Our CEO and leadership team work tirelessly behind the scenes and on the ground—often outside of normal hours, no matter what the weather is like—to coordinate rescues, oversee rehabilitation, manage partnerships, and support volunteers. Their dedication ensures that every horse receives individualised care and that the organisation continues to grow sustainably.
Supporting this work is our incredible team of volunteers, who are the heart of All4hoovesWA. They assist in many ways, from horse care and property maintenance to administration, fundraising, education, and community outreach. No matter the role, every volunteer plays an essential part in our mission.

Our history
All4hoovesWA Equine Rescue Sanctuary Inc. (Trading as All4hoovesWA) traces its beginnings to the passion and dedication of our Founder and Director, Amy, who began rescuing, retraining, and rehoming one to two horses each year from the age of 15, with close support from her mother.
As the number of horses in need continued to grow, so too did the demand for structured rescue services. In response, All4hoovesWA was formally established in 2021 to provide urgent, compassionate support to equines across Western Australia.
In 2022, the organisation achieved incorporation, was registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and obtained Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status — enabling supporters to make tax-deductible donations to our cause.
Today, All4hoovesWA is a recognised and trusted equine welfare organisation, responding to numerous inquiries each week via phone, email, and social media throughout the Albany region and beyond.
We care for approximately 20 horses and ponies at any one time, including around 12 senior equines in our much-needed Golden Oldies Program.
